First time here so I'm going to use kid gloves. The service was top notch but everything else went down hill from there. Well, not everything. My food came out quickly and as ordered. But $3 for a cup of Orange Juice is ridiculous. And seasoning doesn't seem to be a priority. Bland is being kind. I doubt if I'll will be back, but the place seems to have a great name for itself with the locals, so give it a try.
If you are like we are and love local eateries, then I recommend Wanda's. We have been here many times and it has never disappointed us. The prices are decent and the food always plentiful and very good. Omelet's as well as Biscuits and Gravy are some of my favorites. Greg loves the pancakes. Really you can't go wrong with any of the items. Just relax and enjoy your self in this quaint diner.
Great home style breakfast and a cozy atmosphere. The staff are extremely nice and the small plates were excellent to share.
Look, its a mom and pops shop. Its good for them that people are enjoying their business. However, let me explain what you will be getting here. 1. Food so average youll regret not saving the money and just making it at home.2. An extremely tiny eating environment not unlike a small apartment living room.3. Stiff, unpleasant chairs and tiny tables.I like humble eatieries, I do. Id need to be absolutely delusional though if Im going to burn $13 on a stale biscuit with some packaged gravy poured over it.
I visit Wanda's occasionally and today went there with my 85 year young dad. A wonderful breakfast for both of us. Dad had the slice of ham/eggs/hash browns with biscuit n gravy side..... and I had the oatmeal. Dad's plate was overwhelming :) The portions are very hearty as others have already mentioned. It was very good but he could not finish all of it. Mine was in a very good sized bowl almost filled with oatmeal. Had sides of brown sugar and raisin and a small flask of milk. Very simple....very enjoyable.Love to see them come out with a senior half portion. Still would be more than enough food. I'd say cut the hash browns in half for sure....maybe a half slice of the thick ham.....Half the biscuit with gravy is plenty.....maybe keep the full portion of egg. But that's me trying to tell you guys how to run your business :) Ken aka ZUKps----love the outdoor seating.
