Poor customer service from the time we arrived, staff gave little to no information regarding normal check in info. Such as explaining charges, policies, amount being placed on the card or even providing a receipt. We also ended up in a non smoking room that reeked of cigarettes and was told someone would come check it out but no one ever came. We received multiple calls harrassing us about how many people were in our room and told that the room service staff would come 'audit' how many people we had. I choose this hotel because it is a Marriott location but they aren't worthy of being called that. Even the continental breakfast was a joke. Overall I won't be staying here again. Very dissatisfied.
I found the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Phoenix to be a very delightful place to spend the night. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi was crystal clear and was a great place to relax after spending the day in the Arizona heat. The staff was very helpful and friendly and every morning they had a delightful continental breakfast
The staff provides excellent service in a cheerful manner. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is much more than a continental breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, hot & cold ceareals. This appears to be an older Fairfield Inn, but the place is well maintained. A lot of restaurants and fast-food joints nearby.Downsides: Postage stamp size pool adequate for cooling off but not large enough for lap swimming. No in-room safes. No covered parking, which would be a nice feature in the hot summers in Phoenix. Hard to find from roadway.
Great breakfast, plenty of tables. Tho very close to the Interstate, was still a quiet room. Loved the very soft mattress that we had. Room was very clean when we checked into it. Front desk girl was friendly and informative. Will stay there again for sure on our next trip.
We were very disappointed in this place. When we arrived our room had a bad odor and there was trash, old food, a wadded up towel, and a sock when we pulled out the pullout bed. The pool area smelled very bad and the bathroom in our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The building is outdated. The breakfast was not enjoyable. Many of the pre packaged items (coffee creamer, jams, cream cheese spread) were expired by over a month. The sheets on the beds were torn and very old looking. We stayed here because it was closer to I10 for our trip home but next time we will drive the extra distance to stay at the Homewood Suites!! They are far superior and we paid the same price for this horrible experience!
