My wife and I bought massages and facials on Groupon. My facial was good. My wife's was marginal. We each had Rose for a massage. She was nice enough, but the massage was not good. It felt like we were getting a massage from someone who had just watched a YouTube video about giving massages. Also, I was not draped properly... if I was more skittish about that, it would have been really uncomfortable. We weren't really greeted when we arrived, and we didn't feel welcomed. My wife also had issues getting this booked in the first place, and we ended up having to pay extra because they couldn't get us in before the Groupon expired. Overall, a really disappointing experience. I am now trying to book a massage at a place I trust for tomorrow.
I wish I could give this place negative stars. They are running a dishonest Groupon scam. As other reviews have noted, the trouble started with buying their Groupon deal. I called to book an appointment for myself and some friends, as I purchased the deal for all of us in December. I was aware that only one deal per person was the rule, but there were four of us. The establishment couldn't get us in for several weeks. My SO and I decided we'd try to use them later and do something else with our friends. I called again in April, when the voucher was about to expire, and they again couldn't get us in for a couple of month. We made an appointment for June 23. This was their first availability for a weekend - I think if we had been able to do a weekday, it would have been about 6 weeks out. They said their regular customers commonly book 3 months out. Why they are doing Groupon to bring in new customers when their regulars have to book that far in advance? I suspect they pull people in with the promise of a discounted service, knowing full well that they will either never come in due to scheduling, or end up paying the difference when the Groupon expires. The Groupon cash value is always good for what you paid for it, even though the deal expires. Essentially, we had partially paid for the service and would have to make up the difference between the deal and full price, since by June, the Groupon deal was long expired. Oh well... I asked multiple times if they would honor all four Groupons cash value for the two services we booked, which the Groupon certificate clearly indicates they are supposed to do. I wasn't happy with their business practices, but we figured the $120 we already paid for the Groupons shouldn't go to waste. They assured us we could use all four and even took all four certificate numbers to put in their system. Come to find out looking at my Groupon account today that they marked them as redeemed the day I gave her the numbers, even though we never received the service. When we arrived for our appointment, they refused to accept more than one certificate per service, saying the offer is one per person. I pointed out that only applies to the deal, which is long expired, and the certificate clearly states the cash value never expires and can be used for any service the vendor offers. The woman refused. I told her I was not about to reward them by paying for more services. I will admit, I got very heated - I was angry. I did make a scene. She kept insisting they would never tell me on the phone that they would accept the cash value for all four, expired or not. I tried complaining to Groupon about their deceitful practices in April, but Groupon has not responded. I will complain to them again and let them know the vendor would not honor the cash value and also marked the offer as redeemed when it was not. I am also disputing the charges with Groupon through the credit card it was paid with. My advice - avoid the headache and choose another establishment. These are not honest people.
Purchased Groupon for 1 hour massage and 1 hour facial. Difficult making appointment, as very obvious they do not "prefer" to accommodate Groupon users. Facial was first, and was excellent, wish I remembered her name because she was the ONLY professional and nice person in the place, the one star is for her, otherwise would give negative stars if able to. After the facial I was told by a 'rough-looking' woman that she refuses to do the massage because I have cancer and quote..."I cant take a chance on moving things around"....WTH does that mean? How is a light hot stone massage on my back going to "move things around" inside of me???? seriously, because i'm a nurse and am pretty certain that isn't even possible. My doctors knew about and encouraged this appointment to relax me. Apparently, their massage therapist, if she is actually for real, discriminates against certain people. NOWHERE in their groupon do they mention that they will not service people with an illness. Furthermore, she absolutely refused to replace the massage with ANY other service, even though I paid for 2 hours of service and only got 48 minutes of service. I told her what a mistake it was to have such bad service when groupons are all about bringing in new customers. I left there in tears, more tense and stressed than when I walked in, never treated so poorly by any business in my entire life. I strongly encourage others to consider why this place has so many 1-star reviews...there is a good reason for it. If they want to stay in business I would advice replacing their completely unprofessional and poor customer service oriented massage therapist, who is losing them so much business, going by others reviews as well.
If I could give 0 stars I would. It took me forever to book a massage for my husband and once I got an appointment set up. They called 2 hours before the massage and said the massage therapist went home sick. I spoke with the owner and she didn't apologize for any inconvenience. It was a surprise massage for my husband everything was paid up front. She said she can't do anything and it's out of her control. She has the worst customer service! I would never do business here. Be aware of this bad business practice.
I dont know why this place is open owner not professional, hard to get a hold of someone, they dont call you back after leaving a mesaage everyday. Was told they need the Groupon number to hold the appointment then somehow it was used already before the appointment so dont give they will just take your money. Never got a reminder call or txt for the appointment. Waist of time and your money. This place just need to close down
