Small school with good teacher to student ratio.
I don't like this school. My child was an A-B student before coming here. We are new to the state and since he has been going to this school it's been nothing but problems. His grades have dropped and he is constantly getting lunch detention for minor things like speaking out. Multiple times I have reported that he had been getting racial slurs said to him on a regular basis by students and has even mentioned feeling discriminated against by teachers. I originally thought that maybe he was acting out or was the problem until I spoke to another parent of the school whose son is having the same issues. This is part of the reason that we are moving back to Georgia in December, so my son doesn't have to feel this way. At his previous school's he has not had all these issues. He tells me he doesn't not feel comfortable at Sanborn and doesn't trust the teachers. When I have contacted the school about how my son feels, he is always made out to be the bad guy and the racial situations are always down played. Next step is going to be to contact the school board or an attorney. Shame on Sanborn
I Don't Like This School Because My Teacher Got Me A Sad Face
All of my kids have attended or are currently attending Sanborn Elementary, and we have loved it! The teachers communicate with parents, and they care about each child. I also like how there is a good socio-economic mix in the student body... more like the real world.
