Absolutely worth your time...time for a recharge of positive energy! I love the outdoors, and this park, not far from city lights and traffic is strategically hidden for the enrichment of wildlife. A natural, well cared for habitat that supports birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. What a sanctuary! Plus it has Arizona Game and Fish, Community Fishing Water. Love, love, love.
Our family loves coming to this park to do walks early in the morning. The environment is great and the fishing is really nice to.
Great place to walk at sunrise (in August), and to walk dogs, fish (with permit), see the Jackrabbits that have nearly disappeared elsewhere in Chandler. Not for serious hikers wanting a great workout, but otherwise enjoyable and convenient if u live in East Chandler, Gilbert area.
I thoroughly thoroughly enjoy this beautiful park. I've been coming here for years and it only gets more beautiful. We went this past Sunday morning. It was myself, my wife, son and our dog. It was impromptu because the weather was just so amazing. When we arrived we checked out the lake/pond that is fully stocked with fish. My son was in awe. Then we walked on the nature trails for about an hour and a half and enjoyed all the wilderness and wild life. Just so amazing!! This is a very easy hike/walk so I'd say it's appropriate for almost all walks of life. Additionally they do a lot for kids here at their guest center located in the front of the park. They do wilderness and planet educational courses and even have camps throughout the year. If you are in the neighborhood, check this place out.
